iLinc Web Conferencing Customers Reduce CO2 Emissions by One Billion Pounds

iReduce™ Program Delivers Tool to Measure Environmental Benefits of Web Conferencing

PHOENIX, Arizona (August 27, 2007) - iLinc Communications, Inc. (AMEX:ILC), a leading developer of Web conferencing software and audio conferencing solutions, announced today that customers, partners and employees participating in its innovative iReduce program have saved a combined total of one billion pounds of CO2 to date by choosing iLinc Web and audio conferencing instead of travel.

iReduce was launched in January to encourage companies to reduce CO2 emissions, a leading contributing factor in global warming. All iLinc customers can easily measure their CO2 savings by viewing the company's carbon calculator and even tracking their progress on their iLinc account management page. In addition, for every iLinc customer that saves a million pounds or more of CO2 every quarter, the company will donate money in the customer's name toward renewable energy sources and carbon reduction efforts.

The iLinc Web conferencing software automatically calculates exactly how much CO2 emissions are saved for every individual that uses the iLinc product through a patent-pending feature called the iLinc Green Meter™. By detecting the locations of the people that are attending the Web meeting and measuring the distance between the meeting participants and the meeting leader, the iLinc Green Meter can measure the exact amount of travel that is eliminated. The Meter then applies an algorithm that recognizes what means of travel would commonly be used for the distance (such as car, small aircraft, large aircraft, etc.) and generates a CO2 emissions savings amount for both the Web meeting leader and a composite number for their entire organization.

"Lately there has been a lot of lip service given to environmental initiatives, but iLinc offers our customers measurable ways to lower their carbon footprint," said James M. Powers, Jr., iLinc's President and Chief Executive Officer. "By skipping just one traditional business meeting and having a Web conference instead, a company can significantly reduce its CO2 emissions. For iLinc, going green is not just a slogan, it is good for our business."

North Carolina-based Global Knowledge Training, LLC, the largest privately held provider of training and enterprise learning services for information technology (IT) and management professionals, uses the iLinc Green Meter calculator to track the environmental impact of its distance learning programs.

"I hadn't thought about our direct effect on global warming before switching to iLinc," said Chris Gosk, VP of Distance Learning at Global Knowledge. "Now, however, we know precisely how our online programs help the environment, both for our organization and for our customers."

Global Knowledge calculates that it prevents more than 4.4 million pounds of CO2 from entering the environment each month. To put this into perspective, every 20 pounds of CO2 equals burning one gallon of gasoline. This means that Global Knowledge's iLinc usage equates to saving more than 200,000 gallons of gasoline a month.

"In offering distance learning to our students for the last six years we estimate that we've saved the environment approximately 316 million pounds of CO2 emissions - the equivalent of buying and burning 15.8 million gallons of gasoline."

In addition to its carbon calculator, iLinc actively supports the sustainability movement by promoting recycling, reuse and reduction programs at its offices and with its employees at home. However, it is the iReduce program that enables the company to share its proactive environmental philosophy with its customers and the world.

"We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers for our iReduce program and are delighted to see companies such as Global Knowledge leveraging it to their business advantage," said Powers.

Note: iLinc filed paperwork in February with the Securities and Exchange Commission to terminate its registration under the Securities Exchange Act (so called Going Dark). As planned, iLinc then also voluntarily delisted from the NYSE Alternext exchange. By doing so, iLinc estimates that it will save over $500,000 of direct expense (and cash flow) annually, and will also be able to refocus those public company activities to more important operational objectives. Therefore, iLinc will not file any public reports with the SEC. However, it will provide an annual report (with audited financial statements) and a proxy to its shareholders of record as a part of its annual meeting.
